After a day touring the Sierra Nevada Brewery just outside of Asheville, North Carolina, I returned to Charlotte by way of Bat Cave, Chimney Rock and Lake Lure with hopes that the rain would cooperate and allow me some scenic shots on the way back. The river in the series is the Broad River, and the first of the shots was taken in the Bat Cave area with the water close to 2 feet over the banks. The second river shot was in Chimney Rock, about 10 miles further downstream, where the water was closer to 3 feet over bank.
